This Halloween, let’s pledge to make it an inclusive one!
-
Purchase non-food treats to put in your treat bowl so every kid can put something in their pumpkin.
-
Save the loud, spooky decorations until later in the evening so sensory kids can participate in the festivities without fear.
-
Remember that a culture’s traditional dress is not a costume.
-
Donate your extra candy to people in need. Organizations like the Ronald McDonald House and Operation Gratitude are great places to start!
-
Make sure the path to your front door is well lit so that children/adults who have difficulty walking can make it safely to the door!
