Happy Halloween!

October 31, 2019
by Becky Ferrigno

This Halloween, let’s pledge to make it an inclusive one!

  1. Purchase non-food treats to put in your treat bowl so every kid can put something in their pumpkin.
  2. Save the loud, spooky decorations until later in the evening so sensory kids can participate in the festivities without fear.
  3. Remember that a culture’s traditional dress is not a costume.
  4. Donate your extra candy to people in need. Organizations like the Ronald McDonald House and Operation Gratitude are great places to start!
  5. Make sure the path to your front door is well lit so that children/adults who have difficulty walking can make it safely to the door!
